Welcome to the Resources section of the VALiD website. In this section you can find guidance and reference materials to inform and assist in your applications of VALiD.

In its entirety, the VALiD Process spans the full project life cycle from inception to end of life disposal and can structure value delivery throughout these stages. It is important to note, however, that this website describes VALiD in its generic form. In this form, VALiD Activities are defined for every stage of the project life cycle and most Activities are presented with several Options (with varying degrees of rigour) for their implementation.

The individual planning the implementation of VALiD in a business or project is expected to first review their circumstances to determine the extent and complexity with which they are required to understand value and demonstrate its delivery. In light of this, they are then expected to pick and choose suitable VALiD Activities and Options to form a customised VALiD process for their use. It is extremely unlikely that any single organisation or project would use all of the VALiD Activities described in this section of the website.

To inform your review and customisation of VALiD, its resources are presented in three sections.

In addition to the support available from the above organisations, a recommended procedure for surveying your own organisation and projects to inform your customisation of VALiD to fit your existing practices is also available. This Implementation Strategy will help you:

	identify the hooks in yours existing value-delivery practices into which VALiD can fit;
	clarify the scope to which VALiD should be applied to your work and the rigour with which it should consider value; and
	establish project-level practices to engage project stakeholders in value-delivery activities.

A comprehensive VALiD Practice Manual is also available. This document describes the generic VALiD Process in full, including the options available for implementing your chosen VALiD Activities with the rigour you deem appropriate. The VALiD Practice Manual will:

	help you understand the details of the VALiD Process;
	inform your selection of VALiD Activities for use in your work;
	provide notes and guidance describing the application of all available VALiD Activity options; and
	provide supporting materials (such as spreadsheet proformas, workshop facilitation notes, and stakeholder briefing sheets) which you each use directly to support VALiD or customise to integrate with your existing value delivery practices.

This section replicates the descriptions of VALiD Activity Options contained in the Practice Manual, with links to their supporting proformas for you to download and review prior to any customisation required for use in your work.

The information is presented an option at a time to simply your review. Option descriptions can also be download for reference when you are away from the website.
